AI Detector Benchmark Methodology
The comparison shown on the AI Bypass homepage is an internal benchmark. It is intended to show directional performance—not to promise a detector outcome for every document.
Last updated: August 9, 2026
What the Chart Measures
The chart presents stored average “human-written” results for AI Bypass and comparison services across GPTZero, Originality.ai, and Copyleaks. A higher percentage means a larger share of the benchmark output was classified as human-written by that detector at the time the result was recorded.
How to Interpret Detector Scores
AI detectors estimate patterns; they do not verify authorship. The same text can receive different scores after a detector model update, with different settings, or when tested in another context. Benchmark percentages should therefore be compared as a snapshot rather than a permanent pass rate.
Current Limitations
- The benchmark is maintained internally, not independently.
- Detector versions and model updates can change results without notice.
- Text length, subject, source model, and writing style can all affect classification.
- The public chart does not currently display sample size or confidence intervals.
Responsible Use
